Triathlon Camp is over and just like every other camp that I have done, I feel that it has given me a nice fitness boost. The timing for this boost couldn’t be better, as I have my next race in two week’s time.
On Sunday July 11th, I will be racing again at Ironman 70.3 Musselman in Geneva, NY. I am confident that I am in much better shape, than when I raced in Chattanooga a few weeks ago. That race didn’t go as planned, so I am excited for this upcoming event.
For the next two weeks, I will be tapering and getting ready to race. This is why, the timing of the C26 Triathlon Camp that has just finished, was perfect. I was able to use the workouts during camp, as my final hard sessions before my race.
I was particularly pleased with my bike sessions at camp. I am feeling strong on the bike right now. I felt strong during all three workouts that between them, covered over 120 miles. I would actually say that I felt strongest on yesterday’s long ride, where I covered over 60 miles.
It was a long drive home today, but I was happy knowing that a nice fitness boost, has me in good shape for Musselman.
