Late yesterday afternoon, I got my Covid booster shot at a local pharmacy. I felt quite good before going to bed, but this morning I could feel several side effects.
My arm was sore at the site of the injection. I had expected this, because that was the only side effect, that I had experienced with my original vaccination shot. However, I also felt like I had mild flu-like symptoms and I also had a headache. The side effects were not horrendous, but enough to make me chose not to workout today.
What I did do was to go for a thirty minute walk around our neighborhood. I did so, hoping the cold, fresh air would make me feel better. It was quiet out, with no cars on the road. It was Thanksgiving Day and everyone was clearly hunkered down in their homes.
The walk did do me good, and together with some Ibuprofen, I started to feel better. It is now late at night and I am still feeling some effects from the booster shot. Hopefully a good night’s sleep will fix that and I can get back to working out tomorrow.
