A week or so ago, I teased about a challenge that I was planning to do. I will do that challenge next week and the course is set. The challenge I am planning to do is another trail run.
There is a range of hills near where I grew up called the Malvern Hills. Within these hills, there are dozens of walking trails. The longest of these trails is the end-to-end trail. It is this end-to-end trail, that I am planning to run next week.
My course is set and will include climbing a total of at least eight hills. With about 2,500 feet of elevation gain, the run will be a good challenge, even though the total distance is only about nine miles. The elevation profile for my run can be seen in today’s photograph.
I am not sure exactly what day to do the run yet. That will depend on the weather. Looking at the weather forecast today, it will probably be Tuesday, but that is subject to change. The main thing I need to avoid is rain and low cloud.
Having run again this morning, I am confident I can complete this challenge. I feel completely over my food poisoning and am getting strong again. It should be a fun run, with some fabulous views.
