Back on November 27th 2019, I wrote my first ever blog post. I chose to describe my blog as “Balancing Life And Triathlon – Sharing To Inspire”. Since that initial post, I have written a blog post, every day for 500 days in a row.
When I started blogging, I had no idea if I would be able to find enough things to write about. There are days when I still struggle to find a topic, but I have to say, they are relatively few and far between. I pretty soon realized, that I could just write about what was on my mind that day. I was able to find something with a link to triathlon, almost all of the time.
Each evening, I sit at my laptop, find a suitable photograph and start writing. It has become a routine and I really enjoy sharing my thoughts. Over the course of those 500 days, I have received some fabulous feedback. It really makes me happy, knowing that the few words I send out onto the internet each day, can sometimes help someone out. It is why I do it.
I must admit that I am curious what people enjoy the most. I had imagined that I would be able to write about races. My thinking was that those posts, would be of most interest. The Covid pandemic meant I haven’t raced much and therefore couldn’t write about races. Despite this, people still read what I write.
I has been quite a journey. Blogging for 500 days in a row, has been really rewarding for me and I hope it has been for you too.
Hey Phil. Just wanted to say – I started following along sometime mid Covid lockdown last year and I’ve been reading every post. It’s become a great part of my day – I enjoy both being entertained and also learning. Thanks for what you do.
Thanks… Makes me super happy to know that you enjoy the blog.
