Reflecting On Musselman As I Finish Up My Race Report

It is now a month since I did my last race at Ironman 70.3 Musselman.  I usually write a draft race report within a few days of the event, but then set it aside for a few weeks.

I set the report aside before publishing it because, in the cold light of day a few weeks later, I find that I am much more objective about how the day unfolded.  As with every race, there are always lessons to be learned, and sometimes it takes a while for these to sink in.

I had a 25 minute PR for a 70.3 race at Musselman, and so there are clearly things that went well.  Now, a few weeks later, I am comfortable sharing my thoughts on what went well and what did not.

I hope to finish up my race report, including the conclusions that I have drawn from it, within the next day or so.  I will the publish it on my race report page.  I am excited to share it with you, and equally excited to implement the lessons I learned at Ironman Chattanooga in six week’s time.
