One of the things I am really trying to improve, is my eating habit.  Focusing on eating only fresh, nutritional food has been a long term goal.  I am doing better over the past couple of weeks.

The single best thing that has really helped, are these bowls, that my wife has been making.  They taste amazing and are surprisingly filling.  Tonight’s meal was no exception.

Our bowl tonight contained pork tenderloin, jade rice, corn, black beans, cucumber, tomato and spinach.  We tossed the whole thing in a balsamic vinaigrette and served in a bowl.

Over the past week or so, we have made variations of this a number of times.  We have used grilled chicken instead of the pork; quinoa instead of the rice and also incorporated other greens like kale and lettuce.  We have also included avocado, a particular favorite of mine. It doesn’t seem to matter what combination we use, they all taste great.

When good quality food is both filling and tasty, it really helps to keep me on track.  I’m now looking to find a few other ‘go to’ meals, to really help solidify my new found habit.  Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Quick footnote :  My website is pretty basic right now.  I chose to start sharing first, rather than spending time making the website complete before launching the blog.  I’m looking forward to building the website over time into a useful resource for you .. just another part of my ‘life’ that you will get to read about.
