I have been doing my Sunday runs late in the day recently. I have been doing that, to take advantage of slightly warmer temperatures outside. Today, I ran early, because I needed to help my wife prepare dinner for twelve. We have friends coming over for a traditional Easter Sunday get together.
This is a great example of having triathlon fit into your life, and not the other way around. Preparing dinner for twelve was way more important that my training, so I changed things up to help out.
It also helped that I didn’t have a particularly long run today. It was just an hour long. Unfortunately, the run included 10 x 45 seconds of fast running on only 15 seconds of rest. Those intervals were no fun at all after the first few. The last two were particularly bad because they coincided with an uphill part of my route.
Sorry for the short blog post today. I have more things to get ready and have to go now….
