I am now just one week away from my next race at Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga. I am excited to finally race a long course triathlon event again.
I have only raced one local sprint triathlon, since I completed Ironman Wisconsin in 2019. That race was at the Mighty Moraine Man event last year. That race didn’t go according to plan and I got a flat on the bike. I wrote about the race here.
Now that I am a week away from the race in Chattanooga, all I have to do is focus on rest and getting fully ready to race. I will still be working out, but will not be doing anything long or hard.
For example, today I just did an easy, one hour ride at my local park. It gave me a chance to stretch out my legs and to check everything on my bike was working well. I enjoyed the ride and am feeling very strong on the bike right now.
Tomorrow, I will start pulling together all the equipment and other items, I need for the race at Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga. I’ll be laying everything out and comparing it to my checklist. It has been way too long since I last used that checklist. I am so happy to finally use it again.
