I seem to be writing quite frequently about my GERD diet recently.  I guess that is because it is a significant change for me.  I do think it is starting to improve my acid reflux issues, which is encouraging.  Today, I thought I would write about my challenge to find a healthy snack.

Ever since I got heavily into endurance sports, I find myself eating much more frequently.  I have developed the habit of eating little and often.  Is that is the best thing for an athlete like me?  I don’t know, I am not a registered dietician.   What I do know, is that the little and often approach seems to work for me.

Ever since starting my GERD diet however, I have been struggling to find healthy snacks, that are OK for me to eat.  I used to eat a lot of fruit and berries, but many of these are not GERD friendly.  Natural yoghurt is out too.  Less healthy treats like chocolate and cookies, are also not allowed.

Nuts are a good choice and they are a favorite right now.  I just cannot eat a lot of them.  Raw vegetables are also good, but there are only so many carrots you can eat in a day.  So, hit me up.  What are your recommendations for a healthy snack?
