At least once a year, I write a blog post about running in the heat. My run this evening was a hot one, and as expected, my pace was slower than normal.
I am experienced enough now, to be very comfortable seeing a slower pace on hot and humid days. My pace this evening was significantly slower than I have been running lately, and that was OK. My heart rate was also higher than is typical on an easy run. Again, that is OK.
When your run is a hot one, set your expectations for pace aside and just run using perceived effort. The run will fatigue you. I am fatigued after my run, so today’s blog is s short one 🙂
