In January this year, I volunteered to be a mentor, as part of an initiative that was put together by the Pittsburgh Triathlon Club. I offered to be a mentor, because I wanted to help our newer members, get more familiar with triathlon. I will not claim to be the most experienced triathlete, but I have spent a lot of time trying to learn the sport and have also learned a lot from my own C26 Triathlon coach, Robbie Bruce.
Fast forward and I have to say that mentoring has been an amazing experience. I have thoroughly enjoyed helping out a couple of fellow athletes and have made good friends in the process.
A few months into the mentoring program, I realized that I was enjoying it so much, that I made the decision that I wanted to be a coach. So, over the past few months, I have successfully become a USAT Certified Coach and have been preparing to start my coaching career.
Today, I am officially launching that coaching career, with the publication of the ‘Coaching‘ page on my website. I am so excited at the possibility of helping more athletes achieve their goals.
If you, or someone you know, are interested in being custom coached, please reach out to me. I would love to learn about your needs and maybe there will be a fit between us.
