It was a beautiful sunny day today; a perfect day to head to the pool for a swim. When I woke up this morning, my knee felt a little better, so I had no reason not to swim. I didn’t want a reason to not swim, because I have missed working out while rehabbing the knee.
The photograph is how our neighborhood pool looked when we arrived this morning. My wife and I had it to ourselves. Considering how many people use the pool each day (it gets very busy after the adult lap swim hour), the water always looks beautifully clean. The lifeguards do an amazing job looking after the facility, and by going to lap swim most mornings, we are getting to know them quite well.
Ironman 70.3 Musselman is now a week away. I will enjoy the July 4th Holiday tomorrow, but then it will be time to start really dialing my focus for the race. This is my ‘A’ race for the first half of the year, so it is very important to me.
I will be blogging about my race preparations this week. I will also be going to the pool. I can’t resist swimming in that beautiful water.
