I Wasn’t Feeling It At All During My Swim So I Quit Early

There are some workouts where you just don’t feel right.  I was feeling super fatigued during my swim today, so I quit early and got out of the pool.

Training for triathlon can be frustrating at times.  I had one of my best swim workouts for a very long time on Wednesday. Today was one of my worst.

Even during my warm up, I was feeling tired.  I seemed to have no strength at all in my shoulder muscles.  It was a real chore to pull water and I started to quit mentally, before I even got going.  I have been through this type of feeling before, and most times, the feeling goes away.  With this in mind, I started the main set, which involved some fast 50’s.

Well today, the feeling of fatigue never went away.  I couldn’t face forcing myself through the whole session and decided to quit early.

Considering the fact that I have barely swum at all for three weeks, I am not too worried about stopping my workout early.  I have still swum 7,700 yards this week, so I am doing OK.
