I am getting a bike training partner ..  my wife !!

Earlier today, we drove to our local REI store, to pick up a new bike trainer that we had ordered.  This new trainer will be set up next to my trainer in our basement.  That way, we will be able to ride together during the winter.

As I train for long course triathlons over the winter, it can get pretty lonely and boring, riding my bike for hours on end in our basement. Sure, I have a TV to watch, but it’s still pretty tedious.

From now on, I will have my wife as company for some of the rides.  She will be training for her own triathlons (sprint distance) and I cannot wait to spend time together, getting ready for races later this year.

We have a trainer tire for her bike and also a bike mat, in route to our house, so we should be all set up to ride together by next weekend.  I am really looking forward to it.
