Dinner this evening consisted of the following:
- Tuna steak – pan fried in a minimal amount of olive oil
- Oven roasted sweet potatoes
- Oven roasted broccoli
- Oven roasted carrots
It was a very healthy meal and it tasted great.
Back in December last year, I wrote a blog about my desire to get lean. As a result of reading “Racing Weight” by Matt Fitzgerald, I have managed to significantly change my diet. That in turn, has resulted in me definitely becoming more “lean”, but it also resulted in me feeling healthier and stronger. Eating good quality food is beneficial and it is also enjoyable.
This week is a recovery week for me; a week with a much lower workout volume and much less physical stress on my body. I have found that eating well during these weeks, really helps my body get stronger. I typically put on a little weight because I am burning less calories, but that is perfectly OK.
I’m looking forward to more great food this week. Recovery work is fun!
