I was up early today, to make sure I was able to finish my 90 minute bike ride, before I needed to sign on for work. The ride was a fairly easy, Zone 1 and Zone 2 effort ride.
On these easier effort rides, it is easy for your mind to wander to things other than spinning the legs or what is on TV. This morning, as I looked down at my bike, I thought to myself …. it is about time that I finished off my bike upgrades.
I have written several blog posts about my bike upgrade, including this one. Although most of the work has been done, I stopped short of getting everything done, so I could put the bike back on the trainer.
If you look closely at the photo, you can see that I still need to finalize the brakes, finishing adjusting the front derailleur and add grip tape to the bars and extensions. Nothing major, but I want to finish it off, now that the weather is improving. It will be good to try out the modifications out on the road. I want to get a sense for the increased speed that I am hoping to gain.
I only have a short run workout scheduled for this upcoming Sunday. I know what I am going to be doing for the rest of the day …
Quick footnote : My website is pretty basic right now. I chose to start sharing first, rather than spending time making the website complete before launching the blog. I’m looking forward to building the website over time into a useful resource for you .. just another part of my ‘life’ that you will get to read about.
