I am writing this blog post very late at night, having just arrived in Chattanooga. Our initial plan was to drive part of the way from Pittsburgh, and stop in route. We were making good time however, so we phoned our hotel and arranged to check-in a day early.
It’s been a long day, which I have outlined below. Probably not the most ideal way to get here, but at least I can sleep in tomorrow morning. Here was my day.
- Woke up around 5am, which is quite normal for me these days. My ‘body clock’ just wakes me up that early.
- From 5.30am – 7.00am, I drank some coffee, ate some toast and watched the first practice session of Formula 1 from Monaco. I am really getting into F1 racing, these days and it was fun to watch.
- From 7.15am – 8.15am, I did a one hour bike ride on my trainer in the basement.
- After my ride I did some packing, before watching the second F1 practice session.
- My wife and I then, finished packing for the trip to Chattanooga, loaded up the car and grabbed a quick bite to eat for lunch.
- At 12.30pm, we got in the car and started our journey to Chattanooga. Ten hours later, we arrived at the hotel.
It is now past 11.00pm. I’m tired, but so glad we did the whole drive and have arrived in Chattanooga. My only regret is that I failed to follow my own advice from last year.
