There is nothing more to do. Everything is ready for ‘go time’ tomorrow morning.
- My nutrition drop bags are prepared
- My race kit and some spares are picked out
- No more training to be done… the hay is in the barn
- Estimated timing for me to arrive at aid stations is done (to help my wife be there to cheer me on)
- Race route has been reviewed a final time
- Nerves and excitement are building
- Alarm clocked set for 2.30am (race check in is from 4.00-5.00 am
It is time for me to go to bed and try to sleep, for tomorrow it really is ‘go time’…
