Do you ever look for gift ideas for triathletes? If so, then I can highly recommend a couple of items, that I received as gifts. I used them both at the lake today.
As part of my final preparation for Ironman 70.3 Musselman on Sunday, I went up to the lake today, for an open water swim. I was a beautiful day and I had very successful swim.
When at the lake, it is always a bit of a challenge to get changed back into street clothes for the trip home. At least it used to be, before I had a couple of really useful items, that I received as gifts.
The first is my Transition Wrap Changing Towel and Seat Cover by Orange Mud. This towel has a built in belt and clip system. This allows me to securely keep the towel in place around my waist, while I change out of my swimwear. Although I didn’t use it this way today, the towel is also shaped, so it can be used as a car seat cover. If I am wet, sweaty or dirty after a run or bike ride, it does a great job of keeping my car seat clean. It’s a really soft towel too
The second gift that I used today, was my Wetsuit Changing Mat from Ho Stevie. This item is primarily marketed to surfers, but it is great for triathletes too. It is a very durable changing mat, that you stand on while getting changed; much better than standing on mud, sand or grass. The mat also has drawstrings, so when you are changed, it doubles as a dry bag. I just put all my wet towels, goggles and swimwear onto the mat and pull the drawstrings. This forms a bag, that stops all the wet stuff getting my car wet and damp. Even though I didn’t use my wetsuit today, it works great with those too.
I really love these two gifts that I received. Do you have any gift ideas for triathletes?
