After my fun solo ride yesterday, today was another day, and this time I had a great ride with friends from the Pittsburgh Triathlon Club.
The Pittsburgh Triathlon Club hosts a bike ride every Memorial Day. They ride on a local ‘rails to trails’ pathway, that goes to the West Virginia border. I joined the group today for this ride. There were over twenty people riding, and we had a fabulous morning.
For Western Pennsylvania, this was a very flat ride. This meant we could put our heads down and ride fast. At one point we had a pace line going and we were flying along.
The total ride today was about 34 miles long. This was just enough for me, after my long ride yesterday. Several of the group decided to make a second trip along the trail, but I chose to save that for another day.
Tomorrow, I am hopeful that I will finally be able to get back into the pool. The weather looks to be good, and I should be able to swim in our neighborhood pool. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
