After four days of complete rest, it was time to get moving again. I started back up with a short, easy-paced run, up at the local High School.
I wanted to ease back into training today. Normally, I would do this with a short bike ride. I couldn’t do that today however, because my bike is still packed up in it’s case. I will reassemble, and also clean it, tomorrow.
I could have gone to the pool for a swim, but that would have consumed more time than I really had available. So in the end I ran. Nothing spectacular, just a thirty minute run on fairly level ground.
My body felt pretty good on the run. I couldn’t feel any after effects of Oceanside in my legs, which was a really good sign. I would normally still feel a little sore, but today nothing. Even though I feel really good, I am still planning to ease back into training over the next couple of days.
Now that I have started back up, I need to also begin working on the items I discussed in my blog post yesterday. That will start in the morning with some strength work for my hamstrings and adductors.
