Not much to report on the training front today, with just a one hour ride on the bike. Winter weather has set in outside, so my mind drifted and once again, settled on improving my nutrition.
Thinking back over the past few weeks, I realized that while I have been eating quite well, I can still do better. I spent some time analyzing what I have been eating and where I fell short. With this in mind, I chose to create targets for my macronutrients, based on training load. I used the ‘Racing Weight’ book from this blog, as my guideline.
With a new found enthusiasm for my nutrition, I chose to go to the grocery store and pick up supplies. Good job I went, because my wife forgot her purse and I had to pay …
I’m looking forward to seeing how my diet matches up against the macronutrient targets that I have set for myself. Creating a goal like this, will hopefully help me maintain that healthy diet.
Quick footnote : My website is pretty basic right now. I chose to start sharing first, rather than spending time making the website complete before launching the blog. I’m looking forward to building the website over time into a useful resource for you .. just another part of my ‘life’ that you will get to read about.
