A Sore Throat And Chest Means Stop

You are currently viewing A Sore Throat And Chest Means Stop

When I woke up this morning, my throat was really sore and I was congested in my chest.  This meant only one thing, no workouts today.

Any issues below the neck, means it’s time to consider stopping the workouts.  Pushing through, significantly increases the possibility of getting a more serious illness.  A significant illness, could mean weeks without serious training.

As I lay in bed, I realized that overall I was feeling quite run down.  My foot injury was bugging me, my legs were tired and I just felt congested.  It was an easy decision to take the day off.

I needed to relax and stay warm inside the house. So, while the family went out shopping, I decided to do the 1,000 piece puzzle that my daughter got me or Christmas.  It was a tough one, but I got it done. It was a good mental workout on a day, when a physical workout was out of the question.

Hopefully, I will feel better in the morning, but no matter what, I want to be fully recovered before starting my workouts again.

Quick footnote :  My website is pretty basic right now.  I chose to start sharing first, rather than spending time making the website complete before launching the blog.  I’m looking forward to building the website over time into a useful resource for you .. just another part of my ‘life’ that you will get to read about.
