Wouldn’t you know it. Just when I am getting into a groove and loving swimming again, the State government has mandated closing all gyms and pools until January.
I totally understand the need to stem the increase in Covid-19 cases, but this is so frustrating. I am not normally easily motivated to swim, but these past few weeks, I have loved going to the pool. I was just beginning to feel really good in the water.
Even though this sucks, it’s beyond my control, so I am just letting it go and moving on. There is always something else to work on, to get better. I can focus a little more on running, biking and strength training.
Talking of bike workouts, I had a hard interval session workout this evening. It was one of those workouts, where the intervals get harder as the workout progresses. Well, by the time I got to the last interval, my legs were toast. I tried three times to hit the power target and three times I failed. I think my weight session, earlier in the week, finally caught up with me.
All in all, not best day in my triathlon life. It’s over however, and who knows how tomorrow will turn out. I am sure it will be just fine.
